What is your favorite Over Under product? And why?

Answer: The Waxed Briar Field Jacket

Why: When the idea for O/U was first born in my head I had a myriad of products I wanted to produce that first year, but knowing we had to build a brand first and also find best in class manufacturing at the same time this product had to take a back seat for several years. Being able to be an integral part of the design process and see this jacket come to life was and always will be a memorable experience.

What is your favorite dog breed?

Answer: English Labrador Retriever (Chocolate to be specific)

What is your favorite way to preserve the sporting lifestyle?

Answer: Tough call here! I love it all, upland game, waterfowl, big game, inshore sport-fish, etc but if I have to choose one I would say it has to be in a duck blind / boat with my female Chocolate lab “Lottie Grace.” There is nothing that can quite compare to sitting in God’s amazing creation on a chilly, windy morning waiting for the sun to come up with a few good friends and man’s best friend by your side. The anticipation as Lottie watches the sky and we all listen for whistling wings is something I could literally do 7 days a week.

What is your dream outdoor excursion?

Answer: I would want to go back to New Zealand and cover both the north and south islands. I would love an opportunity to pursue Red Stag, Chamois, Tahr and definitely throw some waterfowl hunting and fly fishing for trout into the mix. I was able to travel this beautiful country as young man just out of college and the landscape is absolutely spectacular! To be able to hunt New Zealand would be an absolute dream come true.
