To kick off our new series of cocktail recipes, we're going straight to the strong stuff. As big fans of both tequila and bourbon, it's no surprise that Mezcal would become a staple piece on our bar cart and the basis of our new favorite cocktail to mix up against the heat that rolls in with Spring and Summer. The Mezcalita is like the big brother of a Margarita; tougher, more refined, bold, and guaranteed to kick your butt (but in a good way). As is the case with any drink we mix up, we always like to find our own little twist to guarantee it stands out from the basics, which is why you'll find a little bit of Florida flavor on the ingredients list for this one. Now, scroll down, pour one strong, and pair your Mezcalita perfectly with the boat, beach, or backyard.
Pro tip: Pairs extra well with Cinco De Mayo
